Originally from Scotland, Sugar Hill resident Louise Jones has a multifaceted background in health care, K-12 education and administration, and higher education. Jones received her B.Sc. in Physiotherapy from The Queen’s College, Glasgow, Scotland, and her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Mercer University, Atlanta, Georgia. Currently, she is working on her final dissertation in Ph.D. in Higher Education at Mercer.
Having worked in the clinical world of acute and chronic care as a therapist and in K-12 education as a senior faculty member and senior administrator and in higher education professional development at Georgia Campus - Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (GA-PCOM), she brings theory and the practical experience of a 21st-century educator /administrator, as well as the dynamic leadership skills required to support and develop the staff and faculty at GA-PCOM. Making the leap from physical therapy to a private business to another country, and moving from K-12 education to higher education have given Jones personal insights into the motivations and behaviors involved in the process of change, and a passion for studying how faculty and students become competent, through evaluation, change and customized learning. |
